CHILDREN TO RECEIVE VARIOUS THERAPEUTIC SERVICES IN YEGHEGNADZOR

A 13-year-old Martik is a real fighter, strong, stubborn and smart. He has been undergoing physiotherapy at the “Voskeporik” Development Center for a year now. He is preparing for surgery. He decided that he had to walk, and Martik’s word is final.

In Yeghegnadzor, children in need of care undergo various therapies. Now the Center has 134 beneficiaries from 20 villages of Vayots Dzor region.

“Voskeporik” Development Center received a grant from “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation. With the support of the Foundation, the Center has been equipped with various locally produced items for therapeutic work: sensor lights, stands, sand therapy tables, developmental games.

“The main goal of the Center is to improve the mental and physical abilities of children with special educational needs. This is also a good opportunity for parents so that the children will receive all therapeutic services from the region without being absent,” said Anna Gishyan, Director of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“Until now, no service has been provided in Yeghegnadzor, and now, on behalf of the Foundation, we are able to provide a large scale support. “The Center serves special children who have mobility and mental issues,” said Eka Horstka, the Founder of the Voskeporik Development Center.

“Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was established by ACBA Bank, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and Gishyan family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening the Armenian-French relations, improving and developing the socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems of Armenia.
