A SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES WAS LAUNCHED IN LORI

The “Full Life” inclusive society promotion center in Stepanavan helps children with disabilities to come back to a full life through kinesiotherapy, speech therapist, psychologist, art therapy and other special services.

Here, work is being done in the direction of children’s education and development, in order to include them in society and organize a meaningful daily life. Development of independent life skills is at the heart of the work.

“Full Life” center of Stepanavan is one of the beneficiaries of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation. With the support of the foundation, the kinesiotherapy room of the center was completely furnished and equipped with more than 20 items.

“The center is of great importance for the enlarged community of Stepanavan. Now there are about 130 beneficiaries here, of which about 60 use the kinesiotherapy room, which with its necessary property will serve the center and the beneficiaries for many years. It is important for us that the program is long-term, because a large number of people can benefit from this program, taking into account that this center is the only one in the region that provides various services to the beneficiaries free of charge,” said Anna Gishyan, Director of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“Our efforts would be equal to zero if there were no such structures as the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation by our side. This center is unique for Stepanavan and Tashir, because there is a need for such a service, and people simply do not have the opportunity to go to another city or regional center to enjoy these services. Thanks to this program, that problem is solved,” said Suren Maghakyan, President of the “Full Life” charitable non-governmental organization.

For the second time, the “Full Life” center has become a beneficiary of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation. In 2017, with the support of the foundation, the center acquired an adapted car to ensure the transportation of children with disabilities. The car serves its purpose to this day.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was founded by Acba Bank, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening Armenian-French relations, improving and perfecting Armenia’s social and economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems.
