20 NEW AUDIO GUIDES TO VANADZOR MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

With the support of “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation, the Vanadzor Museum of Fine Arts has been replenished with 20 new audio guides. Until now, in case of a large flow of tourists, it was necessary to pre-register, since the museum had only one foreign language guide.

Now there is no need to pre-register. All the information about the museum exhibits was pre-processed, translated and recorded in audio guides in Armenian, English, French and Russian languages.

“The use of audio guides is rather common in museums and it enables visitors to make an independent tour of the museum, which makes the tour very rich and attractive. Museum visitors are many and often the number of guides is not enough to provide the information of this or that painting. In this case, the audio guides come to the rescue. “It is gratifying that audio guides are becoming applicable in the regions,” says Anna Gishyan, Director of the Stepan Gishyan Charitable Foundation.

“It is a good opportunity, because for foreign language excursions visitors had to pre-register and agree so that we could provide. Now we will not face this problem with this program also for individual tourists. And most importantly, our visitor, together with the audio guide, himself/herself decides his/her route in the museum, as to which work and author he/she will start with,” says Tatevik Baghramyan, Deputy Director, Acting Director of the Vanadzor Museum of Fine Arts.

“Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was established by ACBA Bank, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening the Armenian-French relations, improving and perfection of the socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems of Armenia.
