Just a month ago in this classroom there were only wooden chairs, a blackboard and an old closet. The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation and the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development have painted one of the classrooms of the school. The children at school have already begun reading the color books brought from France. By the end of the year, all the children studying here will be able to read in French.
“The children are excited to study the books brought from France. They now have all the equipment they need, including a computer, a projector, an electronic blackboard, a television, which will, surely, make the lessons here more efficient and more interesting. There are about 500 students at this school, and they study French form the 2nd grade and English from the 5th grade. Here French is a priority, ”said Anna Gishyan, Director of “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.
“The two foundations have the same ideology. This is an area where one really needs to invest. The enthusiasm of the children inspires me and gives me a greater desire to continue the project, ”said Alen Tuhadyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development.
The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was founded in 2015 by ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan Family.
