Technical education opportunity for children from border regions

Children of Basic School No. 2 of Noyemberyan town, Tavush marz, will receive education in the technically equipped and re-equipped “Armat” engineering laboratory. In this laboratory children will be able to bring their ideas to life through programming, robotics and 3D modeling.

“Armat” is one of the beneficiaries of the annual grant program of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation, due to whose support the classroom was equipped with new robotics kits, computers were reinforced and generally re-equipped.

“We know how important such education is in the 21st century, particularly for children from border regions, who have very few opportunities, and this is a unique opportunity for them to attend such classes outside of school. We are very happy when we have our contribution to such important programs. We know that in the future we will have good specialists, suitable for both our state and their region,” noted Anna Gishyan, the Director of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“With the help of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation, we have acquired equipment, thanks to which computers and technical equipment have been reinforced. Due to the re-equipment, children began to be more involved in the learning process, receive more specific knowledge and acquire professional orientation,” noted Slavik Mirijanyan, the Regional Manager of the “Armat” laboratories in the Noyemberyan region.

“Since we live in a remote area, children in our region have no other major occupation. As a result of the re-equipment, they are motivated and are able to manage their time “smartly”, use devices, create their ideas and sell their creations,” noted Nina Gishyan, the Group Leader of the “Armat” laboratory of Basic School No. 2 of Noyemberyan town.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was established by ACBA Bank, the French Credit Agricole, the Credit Agricole National Federation and the Stepan Gishyan family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening Armenian-French ties, improving and perfecting Armenia’s socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems.
