AEROSPACE ENGINEERING SCHOOL FOUNDED IN ARMENIA

The dream of Aren Mehrabyan, the hero of the 44-day war, was to create an aerospace engineering in Armenia. The future astrophysicist gave up his studies and returned to Armenia from the United States...

In order to materialize Aren’s dream, the boy’s parents determined to implement an educational program, affording many young people the opportunity to receive free education in relevant fields. The courses are held at the “Aren Mehrabyan” Foundation named after the hero.

“Aren Mehrabyan” Charitable Foundation is one of the beneficiaries of the annual grant program of “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation. Special printers were purchased for the purpose of organizing three-dimensional modeling courses.

“Aren Mehrabyan” Charitable Foundation, in addition to aeroengineering, also conducts a three-dimensional modeling course and applied to “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation for the purchase of the necessary equipment, so that young people can use the theoretical knowledge in practice right on the spot,” said Anna Gishyan, the Director of “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“Education at the Foundation is free, our beneficiaries are all those who dream of specializing in aerospace engineering. We launched our activity in October 2021. At that time, the courses were intended for young people who returned from the war and family members of our boys who died in the war. We applied to the “Stepan Gishyan” Foundation and won this grant, thanks to which we bought four 3D printers,” said Satik Nayiryan, the Co-founder and Deputy Director of the “Aren Mehrabyan” Charity Foundation.

“Aren Mehrabyan” Charitable Foundation trains specialists through accelerated courses who can solve the issues of the aerospace field and make Armenia a leader in the space industry.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was established by ACBA Bank, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan Family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening Armenian-French ties, improving and perfecting Armenia’s socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems.
