IN GORIS THE CHILDREN WILL STUDY FRENCH IN THE NEW CLASSROOM

The children in Basic School N. 3 named after Yuri Bakhshyan in Goris already have a new favorite corner. A new French language classroom has been opened for them.

The classroom is equipped with all multimedia capabilities, educational materials and literature which were brought from France in order to organize interactive and effective classes.

The French classroom of the school was furnished and technically equipped by the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the “Armenian Foundation for Sustainable Development”.

“There is everything to organize the French lessons as versatile and efficient as possible. We are aware that knowing a foreign language opens a new “window” for an individual. We do our utmost to be an incentive for children so that they will easily overcome language difficulties, master them and attend classes with pleasure,” said Anna Gishyan, Director of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation.

“We have been cooperating with the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation for several years now. Together we created 7 French classrooms. Every time whenever we visit schools, we are pleasantly surprised to see the work done. We want this program, which values the French language and aims to spread Francophonie, to be continuous and ongoing,” said Alen Tuhadyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Armenian Foundation for Sustainable Development”.

“We decided to open a French classroom, which will help children to master French better. We face a problem with furnishing the classroom, we applied to the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation and received a positive response and the classroom was furnished,” noted School Principal Davit Kostandyan.

The school named after Yuri Bakhshyan is one of the winning grant projects of the “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation in 2022.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation has started accepting grant applications for 2023. The process of accepting online applications will last until March 15 of this year, inclusive.

The “Stepan Gishyan” Charitable Foundation was established by Acba Bank, French Credit Agricole, Credit Agricole National Federation and the Gishyan Family. The Foundation’s programs are aimed at strengthening Armenian-French relations, improving and perfecting Armenia’s socio-economic, scientific-educational, cultural and healthcare systems.
